Nepal is a neighbor country of India located in a valley in between the snowcapped high mountains of the Himalayas. Fees Structures
Medical colleges in Nepal are known to have affordable fee structure. Students need to pay these fees once at the onset of the course. For four and half years they have to pay approximately $60,000. Apart from this, you need to pay the hostel charges and other expenses.
Admission Process
For enrolling to MBBS course, Indian students have to submit an eligibility certificate to these universities. This is dispensed by the Medical Council of India. International students have to go through a selection test and based on its results, they will be admitted to different universities. This test consists of a rigorous interview process and on clearing these, students are registered with respective universities. Depending on the aptitude and scores, students are selected. Students need to attain the age of 17 years before they seek admission to this course. Though different medical schools have different criteria, but mostly it is compulsory to complete secondary education with subjects like English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. You need to score minimum of 50% in these subjects. Documents that need to be submitted are a copy of the school certificate examination and a copy of the mark sheet. Along with a copy of passport; recent photographs and a medical certificate need to be submitted to the respective medical school.
Transportation
Owing to the mountainous terrain, construction of the road is difficult and incurs huge expenses. Majority of the inhabitants of the country have to travel to reach the main roads. Aviation is the only resort for travelling within the country and overseas. Nepal has 47 airports with paved runways.
Food
Staple diet of Nepal is dal bhat. In the hostel and universitycanteens, students can avail Indian food also. Be it your choice of vegetarian food or non-vegetarian food, you can opt for both in these canteens.
